hey all,

have dell latitude d520 intel 945gm integrated graphics card. have been unable desktop effects work in either jaunty or karmic. when selecting normal/extra/custom, error:

desktop effects not enabled

graphics card info:

any on appreciated. i've looked @ countless threads pertaining issue, nothing find resolved issue.

you should launch command line specific errors. additionally, believe "might" require 3d rendering enabled on video card. confirm (in terminal window):

also, you'll want these packages installed minimum:
