Thread: Making Compiz the Default Window Manager


hey all, i'm thinking switching ubuntu 11.04 classic xubuntu 11.04. main priority have compiz running.

however, though know how running, want able use without using
code:
compiz --replace
code every startup.

know how make default in gnome, not in xfce.

if can help, that'd great.

hey, i'm having same issue in 10.10 xfce. try adding

code:
compiz --replace
to list of start-up commands (settings > session , startup > application autostart). seems solve issue me 2 times out of 3, i'll eagerly watch forum try , find further ideas.
