Thread: Volume Maximum on Boot

i've noticed problem occurring several ubuntu releases. it's small, continually annoys me. maybe can confirm it's bug , can submit such.

on default installation of ubuntu 11.04 (32) audio volume low. when set @ maximum, couldn't hear enough through logitech headset. that, installed alsamixer, opened it, chose "logitech usb headset" card , increased "speaker" bar highest. gave me higher threshold , fine.

problem when boot ubuntu, volume @ maximum. unless adjust gnome panel slider bit left or right, won't return normal. forget , nasty shock in ears.

did else come across this? can fixed easily?

hi exiztone. had similar problem on 11.04 , 10.10 , found this bug report. commenting out 'flat-volumes = no' line of /etc/pulse/daemon.conf did trick me. i'm using digital output sound. hope helps.
