Why Do My 60i AVCHD Movies Have Severe Red Banding in LR 4.1?

i imported avchd movies took sony a55 last year lightroom 4,1. files imported , loaded ok, when played them 60i videos showed bizarre colors (e.g., background colors in aquarium tank grey, heavy red horizontal bands drawn across screen red snapper swimming).  other colors such green "banded", not harshly red did.

to see if problem sony a55 files, tried sony a57 camera today, , sure enough, movies taken @ 60i 24m , 60i 17m had same type of severe color banding, red items. conversely, movies taken non interlaced formats (60p 28m, 24p 24m , 24p 17m; also, mp4) did not have problem @ all. looked have expected them to.

furthermore, every 1 of movie files (from both a55 , a57) fine when viewed sony playmemories software came camera. so, makes me think computer system not @ fault.

i have googled extensively , read thru adobe forums , haven't seen particular problem described. can tell me (if anything) doing wrong, , if there way correct problem?

ps. have done normal things speed lr performance (increased cache size, defragged c-drive etc.) , while lr seem run bit better, still terrible results 60i video files. pc dell intel quad cpu q6600 @2.4 ghz 4 gb of memory, running 32-bit vista home premium edition.
