Acrobat Reader X crashes

i have encountered following problem , appreciate help:

we deployed 50 pcs 1 of our customers. acrobat reader x 10.1.3 preinstalled on machines, , worked fine on clients one.

on machine, acrobat reader x freezes upon closing , upon opening pdf files. can closed terminating process.

the problem exists user account, not recreated while using administrative account.

so far, uninstalled version 10.1.3, , installed 10.1.4 - problem persisted.

i removed acrobat reader adobe cleanup utility , installed 10.1.4 - problem persisted.

windows event logs states standard hungapp event - there logfile acrobat reader software somewhere ?

the pc few months old, running windows xp sp3.

any appreciated, install alternative pdf reader software , stick company's standard software.

can please let me know following details:

1. adobe reader crash if open application (without opening pdf) , closing same.

2. how did install adobe reader 10.1.4? using installer directly adobe rdc site?

3. can please try , delete entire folder c:\program files\adobe\reader 10.0\reader\plug_ins , perform repair within control panel. solve things.
