Cannot open because cannot locate original file

i made dumb mistake when first started using lr , thought files once downloaded catalogue saved , accessible.  removed files bridge , cannot open them in catalogue.  photos show in lr, message says "cannot open because cannot locate original file" 

 

i can see them, can't them.  there anyway recover these files? 

removed bridge deleted drive?
