Custom Profiles Not Available When Printing to Epson 3800 ABW

photoshop 13.0 (cs6) - win xp pro sp3 32bit

 

custom profiles created printing epson 3800's abw (advanced b&w) mode not appear in print dialog target dropdown. i'm forced print out of ps 12 use feature.

 

if select "black" instead of abw in print driver dialog, selection of abw profiles in dropdown, need work abw setting.

 

has else noticed problem?

in understanding, based on experiences calibrated printing

using epson 7890, abw (advanced black & white) cannot use profiles

made color printing.

the black generation abw different color printing.

it's in fact heavy gcr, using black, dark gray , light gray plus

little amounts of other inks in order adjust gray balance.

 

the question then: how can abw process calibrated? far

i'm using epson settings, though paper not epson product.

as far know, there no specific workflow in gretag macbeth profile-

maker generation of abw gray profiles mentioned above.

by way - results convincing. printing abw looks much

like printing calibration profile. less metamerism expected, but

that's difficult prove.
