Mac Pro performance issue

specs follows:

 

2 x 2.4 ghz quad-core intel xeon

32 gb 1066 mhz ddr3 ecc

ati radeon hd 5870 1024 mb

os disk: mercury accelsior blade ssd (6gbps)

ssd scratch disk

mac os x lion 10.7.4

 

have been looking @ benchmarking results people equivalent windows machines, seem achieving faster render , export speeds.

 

can attributed gpu support im not getting? cuda architecture etc?

 

doesnt seem using machines resources capacity im getting at.

 

 

did test 1 minute long sequence (5dmkii, 720p, 24fps) colour correction (magic bullet - curves, sharpening, saturation etc)

 

3.30 render, seems slow me.

 

advice?

 

if gpu related, cards recommend? how of improvement can expect achieve?

if had fast raid array media, help. , having prp , ae caches on seperate hardisk windows / apps help. , export yet disk well. nvivia gpu supporting cuda couldnt hurt.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
