Mac to Pc (and back) best workflow

hi,

i'm planning switch pc workstation due lack of upgrades apple pro line.

thanks suggestions here on forums understood better components run cs6 on windows.

i don't have recent experience windows (last time had pc 12 years ago), question: better workflow doing post-production on pc , sending edit suite on mac?

in specific case, of time work editor uses premiere (and fcp7 older projects) on mac , have full prores422 workflow start finish. found size/performance/quality , can stick single codec (without rendering) until we're done. delivers clips post production in prores422. then, after effects (actually i'm on mac pro), render out png or tiff sequences graphic/titles (usually alpha) , prores422 graded/composited shots.

i think on pc can keep working image sequences motion graphic or titles, format should export when comes video (graded/composited shots)?

if understood read around, can import prores in windows not encode out.

do work both mac , pc production? if so, workflow edit post/finishing between 2 "worlds"?

thanks

we've abandoned macs long ago (well, when avid gave them boot precise), @ least can talk file formats past experience bit. critical issue see potential gamma , color profile issues, may need unify between mac , pc. still, qt on pc different mac. there avoid quicktime possible. @ best i'd use png or animation codecs, png kinda sucks on pc. if use luts , color profiles, tiff sequences may more efficient - can embed color profiles , guaranty consistent handling on both ends, if use cm. otehr formats supporting profiels of course psds , jpegs. png so-so. it's okay long use on pc or mac, hop platforms, show color shifts, depending on it's used. should okay , consistent inside adobe apps, though.
