Thread: Configure Ubuntu 11.04 server to share a printer using terminal (not GUI)


i've been searching on topic , haven't come across need.
i've got ubuntu server 11.04 running , primary use of store backup files using deja dup, connecting through ssh using shared key (no passwords) authentication. works on lan , wan, want.

want set hp officejet 5610 mfd shared on lan only, printing , scanning. server doesn't have gui.

i've searched , come near misses, everywhere try seems using gui on system serving printer.

i'd post following one. seems i'm looking for, 2006 using ubuntu 6.## , build ran on cupsys rather cupsd if read correctly. haven't found updated guide/post 1 below. know of information might help, such updated post 1 below?

i'm not sure cli printer setup, since running headless, may want take @ webmin. printer administration covered on this page.
