Thread: Do you use virus protection software?


hi, all. have been able convince powers install linux on server in our library run our online cataloging system (koha 1 selected).

mostly.

have 1 councilman former windows guy , insisting have virus filter. suggested linux less secure windows. if can't convince him @ tonight's council meeting, rest of council might side him , might not system, after all. so, questions are...

use virus protection software linux server? why or why not?

if use such software, 1 use?

have other advice linux novice has convince windows guy linux secure choice our system?

hello , welcome forums,

unless sharing files wouldn't bother av. have clamav, in ubuntu repository, , bitdefender installed. both decent, though bitdefender has more date signatures. clamav free, since won't installing bitdefender on home user system have pay license install it.
