Thread: how to tell synaptic where to install?


hello guys,

proud owner of ssd on new ubuntu resiedes on.
installed , working, , old hd mounted on /media/hd, both ssd , hd having ext4.

space on ssd limited, wonder how able tell synaptic install new applications?
want have linux, , needed compiling on ssd, rest of apps want install should go hd.

how can this?



searched on net this, surprised me no 1 else seems have need this.

when partition have put system on ssd

applications installed on place anyway. , libraries shared. if have 10 or 20 gb ssd stick root on ssd , /home on 1 of hdd.

maybe move few other folder lib hdd well.
