Thread: iphone first gen won't auto mount ubuntu 10.04

great forum guys! answered lot of questions experimenting great ideas guys had.

anyways.....

have ubuntu 10.04 installed on ibook g4 1.2 ghz powerpc 256 mb ram. yeah know kinda funny given lack of future support works nonetheless.

can't 1st gen iphone (3.1.3) mount. recognized cli
bus 001 device 002: id 05ac:1290 apple, inc. iphone

should do? have partition of mac os x 10.4.11 installed doesn't recognize device (leopard required).

have modules , mobile device libraries installed ubunutu software center still can't mount.

there commands should try? i'm still complete novice @ command line.

well solved iphone problem! using mac installed leopard works great iphone.

in 2006 passed on linux due it's lack of support graphical-interface addicts myself.

in 2011 conclude linux not quite polished , friendly enough casual computer users myself.

idea great limitless possibility, os x , windows still 100 times easier use.

long ubuntu! i'm sure isn't last you'll see of me- i'll check in 5 years see progress!
