Thread: Ubuntu Server Randomly Disconnecting/Crashing

i'm having rather frustrating issue ubuntu server.

built new amd phenom ii x4 based machine

randomly, lose connection server. running services stop responding, samba shares become inaccessible, apache doesn't serve webpages, ftp not connect, etc. i'm not @ diagnosing issues linux yet asming guys assistance.

i'm not sure if has it, on every login screen (when login physically @ computer) see message, "sp5100 tco timer: mmio address 0xb8fe00 in use", again not sure if related.

kern.log ...

jun 25 16:37:42 epsilon kernel: [ 7.280531] sp5100 tco timer: mmio address 0xb8fe00 in use

ran memtest , checked out, i'm unsure how proceed @ point , appreciate advice guys offer.

at console:

dmesg | tail -f

dump system messages in real time. log server remote machines , stress little. when locks up, @ console , post gets dumped.

if nothing gets posted, ethernet card may failing. try installing card , see if improves.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
