Urgent help required please!!! - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi,

i wanted upgrade joomla 1.6 2.5 , understanding have upgrade first 1.6.5 , 1.7 , on.....hence updated joomla 1.6 through 'update' option under extension manager joomla 1.6.5 , since have lost login screen (back end) , gives me blank screen rather displaying login option although site running per normal.

i have turned on error display in 'php.in' file , throwing following errors:

your upgrade screwed 'version.php' file.

what should do:

1. download full joomla 1.6 zip
2. unzip it
3. find file '/includes/version.php'
4. upload installation (to '/includes/version.php')

this should fix issue!

and sidenote:
you can upgrade joomla 1.5 / 1.6 2.5 jupgrade
