Fatal error: Class 'JConfig' not found - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i trying install joomla2.5.8 on localhost on mac running lastest os.
i have local host operating joomla 1.5.26 want rebuild website 2.5.8
i using xampp version 1.0.1 version run joomla 1.5.26

when install 2.5.8, works fine until final step of going site.

i following error message: fatal error: class 'jconfig' not found in /applications/xampp/xamppfiles/htdocs/joomla25/includes/framework.php on line 56

i followed forum thread explained 1 of problems of manually installing config file cannot use text edit on mac.

i copied , pasted necessary code dreamweaver cs5 , created config file way , installed main 2.5 folder

i think have done can think of completed install.

most documentation says use xampp version 1.7.3 joomla 2.5. problem version 1.0.1 not work joomla 2.5?

i retain joomla 1.5.26 until joomla 2.5 functioning.

please help

i recommend removal of xampp mac , install mamp instead. former @ least 2 steps behind main releases of xampp windows , linux , buggy (even xampp developers own admission).

download http://www.mamp.info/en/index.html
installation simple extracting archive , running app installer.
read instructions installation contains additional tips such modifying apache , mysql server port numbers default rather mamp settings , how create shortcut web_root/ directory on desktop real time saver.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
