InDesign CS5.5 crashes while applying Template to a page

hi,

 

we installed adobe indesign cs5.5. on 10 windows xp sp3 32-bit workstations 2 gb ram. on every computer, when user tries apply template page in .indd document, indesign shuts down without displaying error messages. using sysinternals tools , dr.watson, think faulty plugin might one: c:\program files\adobe\adobe indesign cs5.5\plug-ins\layout\pages panel.apln.

has ever experienced issue ? there known workarounds ?

apply template page? mean apply master page?

 

 

 

is cs5.5 patched 7.5.3?

 

 

 

and 2 gb ram? that’s barely enough operating system.
