windows 7; photoshop 13 (cs6).

 

sorry, quite new @ photoshop...

 

i typing text in new layer; no problem far.  need insert special characters not on keyboard, e.g.

tōkai

that not problem; copied character windows character map.

 

now want copy/paste more special characters character map, e.g.

☏ (u+260f) or

✉ (u+2709).

 

now of sudden not work; pasted characters appear in photoshop  boxed x.

 

the font have been using arial, when pasted these unicode characters, font automatically changed myriad pro.  changing font arial not alter boxed x.

 

i took these unicode characters character map using font arial unicode ms.  font not appear in photoshop.

 

questions:

  1. are there unicode fonts available in photoshop?
  2. is there other way paste such characters photoshop?

 

thank kindly suggestions.

i have circumvented situation using stupid old wingdings fonts.

 

however, still need know how insert other unicode characters not part of wingdings fonts.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
