Thread: Getting Dual Monitor support working in Unity with NVIDIA

hi,

have nvidia 9800 gtx. have 2 dell monitors connect card, 1 24" , other 21".

unable use xinerama mode unity, because reason after logging in, no desktop interface, background wallpaper, , have force reboot.

how can setup dual monitors in ubuntu using unity properly? note not want use twinview, since results in dead space around smaller monitor.

thanks. if need more information please let me know.

if let know nvidia driver installed , working first of all

check

nvidia-settings .... , see information gives regards driver using ...

set - done through adding additional hardware drivers.

using xorg-edgers latest display driver though .... yours may different .....








realise want use xinerama .... show information may useful others solve problem

( screen resolutions , current drivers important here ).

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
