Thread: Grub2 cannot boot Windows 7 (error 0xc0000225)

i have lucid installed on computer. added second drive, installed windows 7. windows 7 boots fine if drive connected, or selected boot drive in bios. booted lucid, ran 'sudo update-grub' , found windows 7 install on second disk. when try use grub entry boot windows 7, error screen:

                            windows boot manager    windows failed start. recent hardware or software change might  cause. fix problem:     1. insert windows installation disk , restart computer.   2. choose language settings, , click "next."   3. click "repair computer."    if not have disk, contact system administrator or computer  manufacturer assistance.        file: \boot\bcd        status: 0xc0000225        info: an error occurred while attempting read boot configuration            data.
i seem remember in grub 1.x days there map command 'swap' drives windows think boot drive, grub2 autogenerated command doesn't have that. ideas on how grub2 boot windows 7?

that's interesting. got same failure on w7 install week. think windows update rather grub. had boot w7 cd , repair it.

anyway, have separate disks linux , windows good. best have grub installed mbr of linux disk , not windows disk. you've arranged anyway.

i'd make sure can still boot w7 disk directly. may same error , have repair it.

grub2 doesn't need of mapping stuff. should find windows using uuid these days. key file /boot/grub/grub.cfg (but should not edit it, gets updated update-grub).

PProHeadless.exe has stopped working error when opening projects in Adobe Media Encoder CS6

hi, upgraded adobe cloud cs6 , having problems adobe media encoder cs 6 (version 6.0.1.31 64-bit).   when try add adobe premiere projects in ame, gives me following error:   pproheadless.exe has stopped working   i tried rebooting, , still gives me same error.  project load, won't.   the premiere projects contain h.264 .mov file coming canon t2i.  added overlay logo bottom right of video created in adobe after effects, contains text, no effects, no motion, etc.  have .wav file recorded zoom h4n, not always.  edit in adobe audition remove noise feature.   i running on windows 7 ultimate 64-bit.  i'm using i7 16gb ram , ati 6870 video card.   i have lut buddy plugin installed.   it give me error first time try load project, , connection dynamic link server fail.  afterwards, if try load project again, if restart ame, stays stuck in connecting dynamic link server...   any provide appreciated. what happens when drag , a...
