Thread: Installing Open Watcom C/C++

hello everyone,
first of all, want ubuntu great os. it's easy used - it's 2 days since tried , it's easy me use. more windows
there is, however, little problem. use open watcom c/c++ programming , want install on ubuntu. downloaded watcom linux. don't know how install. when ran downloaded file, got error message: "there no application installed executable files". went properties, permissions , gave permission execute file program. when run file, nothing happens @ all. doing wrong?

i'm not familiar open watcom c/c++, i'm going guess .exe program? if so, you'll need run in wine.

said - if there reason don't want use native linux program geany?
