Thread: Is this an ncurses problem? Screen is gray instead of black

hi,

background info:
have messed ncurses c in past, , never able screen display black. instead, gray.

anyway, installed tn5250 connect as/400 system, , seem have run issue again. can use terminal emulation program fine, however, can't seem ignore gray, when know it's supposed black, , distracting me, because think there might misconfiguration or problem ncurses. or think it's problem/issue terminal emulator? have tried every possible env.term value screen provides, , every single 1 has gray background.

know why happening, and/or how fix/correct this?

i'm running ubuntu 10.04 lts. if detailed info system's architecture needed, provide it.

just tried uninstalling , reinstalling it, , didn't fix it.
