Thread: Protecting Files From Hardware Hack


is possible protect files (or specific files) using bootable image? on own system able gain access root directory booting ubuntu bootable flash drive. understand have physically @ computer gain access anything, possible protect filesystem without having password 'boot usb' feature on motherboard?

some might able access files remotely , don't have physically on machine.

might not real solution if you, save critical/personal files on external drive.

think (not sure) if encrypt /home partition (which option can in 6th or 7th step during installation) give kind of protection not sure if boot livecd or usb still able access files or not? i've never tired encryption option better wait has tried
