Thread: Wake on USB problems- Zotac IONITX-A-C

hi guys,

i'm having problems waking on usb. system runs ubuntu 11.04 off usb drive. it's designed media center computer.

when suspend usb devices disabled in /proc/acpi/wakeup suspends correctly , wakes fine when press power button. if enable of usb devices in /proc/acpi/wakeup suspends , wakes straight away.

here lines not commented out in /etc/default/grub:
grub_default=0
#grub_hidden_timeout=0
grub_hidden_timeout_quiet=true
grub_timeout=2
grub_distributor=`lsb_release -i -s 2> /dev/null || echo debian`
grub_cmdline_linux_default="quiet splash usbcore.autosuspend=-1 acpi_enforce_resources=lax"
grub_cmdline_linux=" vga=792 splash quiet"

i've tried usbcore.autosuspend=-1 , acpi_enforce_resources=lax changes i've read recommended on http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=enable_wake-on-device. didn't work.

i've read on site http://www.minimyth.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2524 disabling usb2.0 support worked on zotac ionitx-b-e. can't find anywhere within bios option turn off usb2.0. of course i'm loath disable 2.0 support anyway because operating system runs usb.

please guys, if has ideas on how me i'd appreciate lot. i've looked around answers, nothing change makes difference. fact i'm running os usb mucking me up?

hi again guys,

hate bump own thread, need hand here. ideas what's causing problem?

fact i'm running os usb? problem go away if got small sata drive instead? i'd happy if fixed problem, of course i'm bit reluctant go ahead , spend money on no more guess.
