Thread: Weird Wifi Problems on Asus EEE

i've got asus eee pc 1000he netbook had eeebuntu installed on quite while, , used work fine. unfortunately, eeebuntu stopped being maintained year ago, decided replace os ubunutu 10.4. big mistake!

i've set connection information in way should work. wifi tries connect while, pops "wireless network authentication required" window. if hit "connect" try again while, pop window. etc.

here's gets weird: plugged network cable netbook morning, turned on. ubuntu booted, connected wifi network instantly. unplugged cable, , remained connected via wifi (for 5 minutes before disconnecting , going behavior described above). 100% replicable--the wifi works every time (for 5 minutes), long ubuntu boots wired network cable plugged in.

aargh!

suggestions??

i have lucid installed on eee pc , have not had problems wifi. reading post understand connect wireless when plug in ethernet cable router. weird. ok.
can connect internet via wired network?
both wired , wireless enabled?

PProHeadless.exe has stopped working error when opening projects in Adobe Media Encoder CS6

hi, upgraded adobe cloud cs6 , having problems adobe media encoder cs 6 (version 6.0.1.31 64-bit).   when try add adobe premiere projects in ame, gives me following error:   pproheadless.exe has stopped working   i tried rebooting, , still gives me same error.  project load, won't.   the premiere projects contain h.264 .mov file coming canon t2i.  added overlay logo bottom right of video created in adobe after effects, contains text, no effects, no motion, etc.  have .wav file recorded zoom h4n, not always.  edit in adobe audition remove noise feature.   i running on windows 7 ultimate 64-bit.  i'm using i7 16gb ram , ati 6870 video card.   i have lut buddy plugin installed.   it give me error first time try load project, , connection dynamic link server fail.  afterwards, if try load project again, if restart ame, stays stuck in connecting dynamic link server...   any provide appreciated. what happens when drag , a...
