HTTP Error 500 - Internal Server Error in joomla Backend - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

on new server encountered problem internal server error in backend module when save configuration or try add new menu item.

i checked permissions - seem ok.

joomla configuration.php set file permission 444 - desired setting when configuration completed - , needs 644 when still making changes.

your database collation character set incorrect must utf8-general-ci , have set latin1_swedish_ci (character set: latin1).

did issue occur before started installing extensions have added?

system tmp showing not writeable unsure whether particular issue of yours or 1 fpa causing false negative response have no iis installation compare with.

separately , not related:

you seem have same site template ( greenapplev2 (1.8 )installed twice reason.

you seem have number of extensions relate other components such virtuemart , community builder , should make sure these not enabled otherwise may cause issues.
