internet access requirements for creative cloud not accurately represented by Adobe

here official response adobe, many places on web site , support forums.

 

"because creative suite applications installed directly on computer, not need ongoing internet connection use them on daily basis.

 

however, need online when install , license software, , @ least once every 30 days thereafter. software alert when need connect internet license status check "

 

i have been following cloud product , subscriptions since announced future product.   since public launch, there have been  never ending discussions problems software products not working because license not validated because user did not have live internet connection. hundreds or thousands of people have complained.  have not seen any  admission adobe basic license problem exists, constant official line  "once every  30 days"  , no admission paying customers having problems, confirmed adobe, , working on solution.   rumblings cs5, upgrades, , old , new version comingling  problems, etc.  customers complain of continuous internet connection required, or daily, or every reboot. 

 

i purchased my  yearly subscription last week.   platform new  macbookpro retina display, 16gb ram, 256gb solid state drive, quad core 2.6 ghz processors. os x 10.8.1 mountain lion.   ( sweet )

 

i have installed latest version of adobe application manager , installed lightroom, muse, photoshop extended, , acrobat pro.  last night, @ home, wifi connection,  added several hundred photos in 2 catalogs in lr.  opened , updated muse web site design. photoshop opens fine have not worked on photographs.   acrobrat pro launched ok, did not open or create document.

 

today, met client, @ local eatery, review potential photographs web site i'm developing.  origially connected local wifi when arrived, closed safari browser , didn't pay attention connection.  lr launched , seemed work ok review pictures.    however, when later tried launch muse review web site design,  got message didn't have internet connection.

hello 1 day, goodbye 30 days!!!!! 

 

so still failure adobe.  ( products love, , have used years)

is fraud sell product , make claims know not true?  class action lawsuit in works?  adobe, taking customers money every month, , not suppling product promise.  disappointing!!  come on.  can do  better!!!

 

i"m disappointed , , loyal customers need  fix this!!

i'm here on creative cloud forums pretty , haven't seen hundreds or thousands of people have complaining "no internet connection message". common issue has been cs6 products licensed reverting trial mode again. issue 1 has since been resolved update adobe application manager. have seen reports of message "internet connectivity required" message though, , try to  understand cause whenever see reported. have resolved issue in several cases too. not issue affects , actual underlying cause seems vary.

 

the common causes i've seen have been related internet connectivity or security software on system preventing licensing check process happening (it should happen once every 30 days continue try on , on if failing, 7 days silently in background , message described).

 

temporarily disabling anti-virus , firewall software resolves it. if works, need configure software allow activation process occur.
