Liquid: product description HTML escaped

hello all,

strange behavior, please confirm problem below.

i'm using liquid , in shop productlarge.html, render {{product.description}} escaped string instead of expected html formatting.

 

anyone else experiencing this?

figured out:

{tag_description} --> not escaped

{{product.description}} --> escaped

 

perhaps expected behavior.
