Question about the Eyedropper tool, and how to paint after.
hi;
i know if there's simple way use eyedropper tool pick colour, re-colour closed 2d shapes easily. think know first answer, when highlight eyedropper, click on shape, little box in left tool group fills in colour.
but haven't found answer second part yet. i'm familiar corel draw 9, , can suck colour eyedropper, paint colour other shapes using paintbucket tool.
i've searched, , tried several tools seem logical, haven't found equivalent of paintbucket tool yet in ai-cs5.the best part of paintbucket tool in corel, can hover on closed shape, instantly paint it, if shape grouped several other shapes.i don't have ungroup them first. can hover on edge of shape, hit mouse button, , colour outline. quite handy.
does such tool exist in adobe illustrator? if answer yes, have ungroup shapes first, or can hover , click, if shape grouped other items? can same tool colour both internal areas , outlines?
thanks again. everyone's been helpful far. tom.
use eyedropper, press alt key , click on shapes want color.
