Sharing Styles and Preferences in Captivate 5.5

our team has upgraded captivate 5.5.  several of used captivate 3 , older , not speed on captivate 5.5 yet.

 

our team works on multiple projects simultaneously.  have created of styles (captions, highlights, buttons, etc.) , libraries of images , set these defaults (plus other captions need used throughout projects callouts explanation boxes, etc.) team in version of captivate.

 

i need share these styles , have each team member import , select these defaults, plus have on hand other supplemental captions, buttons, , highlights needed support various content in our courses.

 

under file menu, import , export styles option disabled unless project open. 

 

under edit menu, found can import , export styles in object style manager if project open.

 

in preferences, can create new style.

 

can perform of outside of having project open.  can styles shared within project?

 

i have several popular captivate manuals @ desk , have searched these answers. found a  discussion  on the  adobe forum states can select file menu (with no mention of project open) , export preferences ( assuming others well) , import them “master preferences”

 

 

is there way export styles , preferences others can import them set them defaults projects, without sitting in room , taking each caption, highlight, button one-by-one , setting them same in preferences applied project open?

 

much appreciation in advance advice, steps achieve or information telling me not possible.  have spent hours/days pouring on manuals , testing co-worker try , achieve this.

since no 1 seems answer question, here idea. create template, if not use placeholders or other functionalities of template. in template, create wanted preferences , object styles. can offer template , instruct them use file, new template choice when creating new file. can adapt skin in template. drawback: have specific resolution, careful if use objects on stage , people have create projects in different resolutions. use template store variables , advanced actions use lot of time.

 

in captivate 6 object styles part of theme, there use theme (i'm not big fan of ppt-like themes, being able have own theme object styles , skin editor great).
