Thread: Help Installing Updates (Complete Newbie)

hi, little myself. figured out how format computer couple days ago no @ all. formatted vista, partitioned hard drive 3 sections: 1 windows, 1 thatś common, , 1 linux.
installed windows 7 in parallel wubi ubuntu 11.04. downloaded updates took quite bit of time, read on site if dedicated partition linux might install linux on partition instead of inside windows, did that.
instead of having download updates again, backed updates on usb, can´t paste them folder (archives) because don´t have privileges that. how overcome problem? please give me detailed code paste terminal.

also, don't know why, seems ubuntu slower normal install wubi install. maybe didn't install properly?

i don't use wubi, , i'm not sure can install update wubi in standard install of ubuntu, if it's possible need use sudo root access. maybe can add more uses wubi.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
