Thread: Passwords are horrifically slow

hello. built small server dad, host business website aswell manage storage of important documents (raid 1).

yesterday thought try out zentyal. got working, mostly. seemed useful.

however, password authentication; including login, sudo, ssh, extremely laggy. talking minute after entering password.

have done

code:

sudo apt-get purge zentyal zentyal-samba

and

code:

sudo apt-get autoremove --purge

and rebooted, problem persists.

server won't go office few weeks yet, need set static ip eventually. cannot yet, if matters.

ubuntu server 11.04 64bit

you have idea what's going on on system - have @ log files in /var/log - maybe can find valuable info there

/var/log/kern.log
