Thread: Ready to pull out hair on Brother HL5370-DW

i'm ready pull out hair on one.

brother hl-5370dw has played nicely wiht couple of kubuntu laptops couple of years (they on jaunty).

i've ended having reinstall 11.04 scrach; fine.

have use alternate disks both kubuntu , ubuntu, both quietly fail during install on 3 machine (two satellite l305 , 1 l505).

couple of times they've come able print, under kubuntu, don't have printer list while trying configure printers.

on ubuntu, fresh install afternoon, finds printer , steps through configuration, asking number of installed trays.

unable talk it. things pile in que "processing - printer warning." , "pending- printer warning."

icon exclamation point in top bar, , both green check , red exclamation in printers window.

have brother-laser package installed.

computer can print hp network printer no problem, , windows machine in next room can print brother no problem.

i'm baffled.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
