Thread: Ubuntu 11.04/ Gateway DX430s/ Wireless Problems (Linksys)

today repartitioned desktop ubuntu , cannot access wireless internet. house live in old , way use hardline ethernet cable move computer down basement wireless router (only 1 ethernet port in house).

have laptop perfect wireless connection desktop ubuntu cannot detect wireless network , when try type specs wireless network appropriate places still cannot connect. there driver need install in order have computer recocnize network?

tried piggy-backing connection through laptop desktop did not have luck , wondering if there should do.

again, day 1 user of ubuntu , know computer stuff, being windows user life , not knowing problem computer in need of help.

reccomendations appriciated

resolving wireless issues series of steps determine root cause. first place start ubuntu wireless troubleshooting guide. in order device work need physical connectivity (plugged in way and/or turned on via machine's bios), driver communicate between device , operating system, , proper configuration of device typically via dhcp. please follow guide , indicate @ point having difficulty.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
