Thread: Updating video driver in Kubuntu 10.04

i have intel 945gm graphics controller on dell d620. i'm trying install proprietary drivers, want play wow , video choppy play.

i've downloaded drivers, don't know next. i've read of documentation (readme, install, etc) came driver download. i've downloaded xf86-video-intel-2.15.0.tar.bz2 drivers card, don't know next.

these files:
aclocal.m4 compile config.sub depcomp m4 missing uxa
authors config.guess configure install makefile.am news
build-aux config.h.in configure.ac install-sh makefile.in readme
changelog config.log copying ltmain.sh man src

how upgrade card drivers?

advice gratefully appreciated.

where did drivers? interested in trying them too.

there should instructions on site downloaded them. these drivers official intel site or somewhere else?

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
