Trying to transfer CS5 from Vista to Apple Imac

hi.

   purchased photoshop cs5 in july 2010, using medion pc running vista . on 30th may 2012 phoned yourselves (case no.0208471813) going replace failing computer apple imac & wanted know if transfer cs5 vista imac . told yes could done once, since computer has died & have bought apple imac. phoned yourselves today find out had transfer cs5 on & amazement told not because cs5 has been replaced cs6. disappointed didn't advise me when made first enquiry not possible once cs6 available. asking again there way programe can transfered on not cheap item , cannot afford purchase cs6.  have mac osx  version 10.7.4. 4gb memory.  sorry such long message . regards  gary hampson

first of all, you not addressing adobe here.  users in these user-to-user forums.

 

the license totally platform specific, , program itself.  windows serial number no on mac version.  binary runs on windows box.

 

before cs6 shipped, have arranged adobe customer service adobe calls "cross-grade" @ nominal cost providing letter of "proof of destruction" of windows copy , deactivating said windows version.

 

cs5 no longer being sold, path "cross-grade" cs6 paying upgrade price.

 

if wish pursue case, need call adobe on phone.  there's no 1 here in forum can you.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
