i've reinstalled windows 8 several times. 1 time installed java latest cf eclipse no problems. jvm runs nicely in win 8.

hi,

win8 not supported cf9 , cf10.

reference: http://wwwimages.adobe.com/www.adobe.com/content/dam/adobe/en/products/coldfusion/pdfs/cf1 0/coldfusion10-support-matrix.pdf

haivng said that, lax errors related registry issues. so, can please try running windows installer clean utility--> , re-starting server observe behavior? {can't commit on cf 9/cf10 successfull installation}.

hth.
