Category and Alias confusion in Joomla 3.02 - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

good evening, second installation of joomla 3 - first time able create urls mydomain.com/an-article.html in 2nd installation (the difference being used installatron rather doing manually) category in url well, e.g. http://www.motorhomebusiness.com/2-hire ... -hire.html
i'm not fan of having category in there , prefer http://www.motorhomebusiness.com/motorhome-hire.html without '2' in there. ideas?
...at moment have 1 article in there, can't believe have 'used up' aliases.

generic testing using different versions of joomla 3

i tested using joomla 3.0.0 , able create articles in category did not show in url
http://domain.com/article

i installed fresh copy of joomla 3.0.2 , again creating pages in url did not include category, in:
http://domain.com/article

i can category alias show in url, i'm not 100% why working

an example of when category aliases show in url

articles >> single article

      articles >> category list


when above menu structure created, urls this:
* http://domain.com/about/blog-articles/blog-articles-2/3-welcome-to-your-blog
* http://domain.com/about/blog-articles/blog-articles-2/4-about-your-home-page

in example, don't see category alias in url, this:

* http://domain.com/3-welcome-to-your-blog
* http://domain.com/4-about-your-home-page

i've dug bit of time, i'm not able give solid answer on how ensure category aliases in url, or how take them out.

does else have input?

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
