FDK support for XMP metadata?

i want able programmatically add metadata framemaker files make them more searchable.

 

according fdk programmer's reference (version 10), can "modify xmp data directly document setting value fp_fileinfopacket document property." there fdk client (setxmpinfo.c) show how can accomplished.

 

the problem?

 

(1) getting property returns empty string, regardless of whether document (or book) contains xmp packet.

 

(2) setting property causes no error (value of fa_errno remains 0), nothing useful happens. reading value afterwards returns nothing, cf. above, , saving file not change existing xmp packet in way.

 

i've tried read fp_pdfdocinfo property, supposed contain string pairs corresponding content of "file info" box in framemaker, , subset of information encoded in xmp packet, invariably got empty string list.

 

many in advance suggestions might helpful. :-)

getting error 0 means there no syntax error logic used still can be  wrong,if string empty means not returning value , hence xmp packet not change.

 

double check if calling in functiion , fp_fileinfopacket has floating value , returned , stored in fp_pdfdocinfo.
