I can’t make any changes in all configurations options. - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i can’t make changes, in configurations options administration site. (both global , extensions)

when whant save new settings, browser freezes , show script errors in mootools-core.js , formsubmitlistener.js:121
(taking long, busy or not responding)

i have tried using firefox, chrome , ie 2 deferent computers , result same . have tried changing configuration.php 666 , 644, clearing cache, installed akeeba backup no luck.

i have searched web help, don’t know for. hoping me. have limited experience php coding eager learn

the primary issue errors getting may associated fact using wrong database collation character set of latin1_swedish_ci (character set: latin1) rather utf8-general-ci required joomla 2.5.x

suggest install akeeba admin tools make necessary repair database character set. read instructions available , use individual tools once know precisely do.

always backup site , database before making these changes safety net if things go wrong.

also same results when sef rewrite/htaccess file disabled?
