Nikon Shooting Data & Caption Field in Lightroom

i have nikon d100 camera , still using nikon view 6.0.0.  have thousands of pictures shot camera.  have filled out fields in nikon view's iptc.  did misinterpret nikon transfer option long ago.  ("nikon transfer" transferring digital photos camera computer.  term "shooting data term exif data, guess.  shutterspeed, focal length etc...)  mistakenly checked box said, 'copy shooting data iptc caption field.  @ time didn't quite understand , thought meant if checked box have shooting data available read other programs in future.  (the way available.) don't think case because transferred new photo computer without box being checked , still got shooting data in nikon view's window, didn't in iptc box.  shooting exif data still inside photo's file (or in sidecar). without turning in iptc box. yes?

 

i've downloaded tiny free program, now, that reads , displays digital photo metadata.  works fine.  keywords come through in program's keyword field , file names.   thing when call caption field in little program first brings text entered in nikon views iptc, should.  directly after get[#beginning of shooting data section]onikon d100ofocal length:.......ect. ect...listing of shooting data, then[#end of shooting data section].  of listed after caption text!  wanted entered in iptc caption!  not shooting data!

all of shooting data fused caption entered in iptc!   because

i checked transfer options box.  i've asked person if somehow separate caption shooting data computer language?  didn't know yet.  said, "try , separate in nikon view."  did.

 

my questions are:  have thousands of photos shooting data part of caption.  when import these photos lightroom , lightroom's  metadata panel automatically fills in photos metadata information, caption field caption , shooting data together?  exif shooting data turn under right exif field in lightroom's metadata panel?  should not use lightroom iptc metadata panel , use another?  if shooting data still part of caption in lightroom,because there of it, run out of space , run out end of box?  there way separate my  caption shooting data lightroom not include shooting data in lightroom's metadata panel under caption?  have been studying lightroom 2 book.  not acquainted lightroom 4.  buying lightroom 4.

i suspect you'll have same problems in lightroom. sounds nikon view has put shooting data don't want it.

 

in case, can download 30-day free trial of lr 4.1 , import few of problematic images , see how metadata looks in lightroom. won't cost anything, not time if decide buy. , if buy program, can enter serial number in trial version, , no longer expire.
