Not Enough Memory

i'm working on document in cs5 has substantial amount of items in it, document size 23megs.

 

when put in rain drops, cover entire size of document approx 90x93"h, started saying had go in preview mode because there wasn't enough memory. wouldn't move drops because there "wasn't enough memory" , crashed... presumably because couldn't remember doing (because out of memory har har).

 

anyways, want know causes memory usage , how can minimize it?

when live trace object, prior expanding it, version of vector file seems easy work with.

is there way put group of objects form of unexpanded object i'm working picture can still stretch w/o changing quality obviously.

 

and on top of that, should having problem anyways?

i have w7 64 12gb of ram (2) geforce gts 250

try making symbol of drops, or on large scale file work @ reduced scale graphics card not have work hard.if have bitmapped effects set raster effects settings 72 dpi.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
