Plugin In/Uninstall Errors - Server Errors on WAMP - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

problem description :: forum post assistant (v1.2.3) : 15th november 2012 wrote:i installed wibiya (3rd party) plugin joomla2.5.7 did not install correctly - plugin failed during setup. in attempt repair plugin, uninstalled it. there server error in doing so. result now, wibiya not installed still populates in plugin control panel. if try delete list, error message reads ' plugin not installed', error - can not find xml uninstall. in attempt repair this, tried reinstall wibiya - in doing so, error message stating sorry, wibiya installed.

i proceeded delete site root directory , corresponding database directory www , bin respectively. copied them in respective folders backup made prior installing wibiya. despite this, wibiya plugin still populates in plugin control panel. have tried purging cache, , had no benefit. have checked - folder wibiya should in wamp no longer there. in last vain attempt @ solving myself, upgraded joomla 2.5.8, since prompting me within control panel in attempt resolve issue. did not work eiter - explains why fpa shows joomla 2.5.8.

i tried ignore problem , carry on site. tried install plugin - joomfish, , gave me server error when tried install it.

has come across contradictory result in joomla before? ideas on how fix it?

ok people,

my lackof research led error.

i read wibiya, saw in action, liked , went directly website download software. did not count on lack of information wibiya creators. misguidingly state wibiya works 'everywhere' not true.. work on joomla 1.5 - not work on joomla 2.5. made assumption here led complete crash of joomla site.. guess learnt lesson. research extension no matter what.

be careful not install wibiya on j!2.5, @ least until write version it. did , big mistake.
