Rendering is really slow on my new rMBP

hi everyone!

 

so bought new retina macbook pro following specs: intel i7, 8gb ram, 256 ssd hd , nvidia gt 650m 1gb

 

it's first time have powerfull machine , when rendering twixtor animation in ae, rendering goes pretty slowly. mean it' s £2000 laptop pretty specs, shouldn't faster? anyway can accept issue level.

 

but if drag original clip in composition (without effects/modifications applied) , try scroll through see start effects, doesn't play video @ original fps. normal?

 

are there software options can select push better performance?

there lot of reasons why render times slow.  how slow talking?  third patry plug-ins take long time render.  after effects never plays @ original fps without using ram preview button.  need know lot more you.  please provide answers questions listed here: "faq: information should provide when asking question on forum?"

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
