Thread: Radeon Unified Driver problems

hey everyone

attemted install radeon unified drivers. im running ubuntu 10.04 x1200 series graphics card.
01:05.0 vga compatible controller [0300]: ati technologies inc rs690m [radeon x1200 series] [1002:791f]
the setup seemed go fine , restarted suggested. when attempt open new catalist control center application gives me message not detecting radeon components or need configure them. sadly message isnt copy/pasteable.

know whats going on?

if these not default open-source drivers, it's not work ubuntu version (using card) newer 8.10. amd/ati dropped proprietary linux driver support card years ago.

if got them amd/ati, won't work.

if got them ppa, can't there, sorry.
