Thread: Stuck in GRUB Rescue

hey,

i'm ubuntu noob. have asus netbook (not preinstalled ubuntu). had dual boot windows 7 home premium , ubuntu 10.10. wanted update ubuntu 11.04, update went wrong , ubuntu stopped working.

fair enough, happens.

booted windows , removed linux partition. forgot remove grub. can't boot windows @ all, because it's stuck in grub rescue.

since it's netbook, doesn't have cd drive. should do? don't want reinstall/format windows (it's work computer, have lot of important files on there), , computer didn't come recovery software. how can solve problem? can removed via live boot of ubuntu?

please give me step step instructions... don't know using terminal or command line

update

got hand on live usb of ubuntu, though set boot priority usb, still defaults grub rescue. do?

im having same problem. have windows recovery .iso, won't boot usb.

help?

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
