Thread: XFCE - newbie questions

hello new xfce , i'd ask few question usage:

1. how can disable dragging windows through workspaces? them stay @ one.
2. how configure startup applications?
3. why xfce menu doesn't show of custom icons? (png, tried more one, custom launcher - eclipse)

edit:
4. how add custom keyboard? (alt+shift switching)
5. restarted laptop , applications re-opened after restart. not want that. how disable this?

goto settings manager->window manager->advanced tab , uncheck 2 wrap checkboxes in wrap workspaces section.

2. how configure startup applications?

settings manager->session , startup->application autostart

3. why xfce menu doesn't show of custom icons? (png, tried more one, custom launcher - eclipse)

if you're referring changing panel launcher icon, right-click launcher , select "properties". click lowest right button ("edit selected item"), left-click icon button, , change "select icon from" dropdown "application icons" "image files", search it.

if referring menu entry, need make change appropriate .desktop file in /usr/share/applications
