Auto Number list problem-Font error?

hello all,

 

i stumped on why indesign seemingly unable recognizing automated numbering in paragraph style.

 

i've used numbered list styles in document automate question numbering avoid manually entering it. has worked 2+ years until yesterday.

 

we run cs5. opened document , noticed numbered list styles nested numbered question styles, automated numbers highlight in pink if missing font, there no missing fonts appear when check font list.

when others in company open same document on machines, bullets in front of numbers throws off formatting.(i pink numbers, while others bullets + numbers, it's pink, not images below)

 

checked other (older) documents , same issue happening there when use automatic numbering. (but again, pink numbers, other bullets infront of numbers) have same fonts in suitcase , same styles.

i've checked every nested style , syles built correctly (i've used same styles past few years) redefined, reloaded them them ensure set numbers instead of bullets no luck.

 

i tried exporting idml no luck.

 

to me seems font error because opening past documents these styles, numbers turn pink.

 

could error whatever font indesign uses automated numbering in indesign? there way define font indesign uses automatic numbering? i'm wondering how fix because have thousands of questions automated numbering set up.

 

advice?

 

can provide more insight how styles built if needed. i'm confused why break styles worked long.

 

thanks tips!

is there character style being applied? might call font name doesn't exist, italic instead of oblique, or similar.
