avoiding Bootstrap dropdown selects - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

here's thing:
i have extension (for joomla 2.5) that, @ point, detects option selected in select html element, , fills out (dynamically) options on select based on option selected in first one.
basically, detect "onchange" event of first select change options on second one. nothing difficult here.
these selects configuration options in module (that is, when set options in backend)
the problem in joomla, use "selects" transformed else. "select" still there (hidden), ui set of divs , spans..
basically, cannot detect onchange element, nor "change options" in second select (because it's no longer "select")

i know it's bit complicated explain, hope picture.

first question be: how avoid selects rendered way, in "old way" instead? possible?
these "selects" defined in xml config file of module, it's field type="list"...

basically ideal case can tell, in xml file, not render "list" field using bootstrap dropdown feature, mantaining original select , options instead.

come on.. there has way! no bootstrap gurus around?
