HD Footage looks blurry in SD Sequence
so may simple question, or may not. i'm entirely switched on final cut pro adobe premiere pro cs5. far there amazing things premiere i'm impressed with.
i have run issue shot footage company in avchd 1080p 30fps (footage inside 60i container) , when drop ntsc 4:3 sequence , zoom in 135 percent looks extremely blurry (the client requires final cut ntsc 4:3). in final cut pro, i've shot in 1080 hd plenty of times dropped sd sequence, adjusted scale , position, , able work in sd sequence point on. while end result not quite sharp original 1080 hd footage, still looked quite (better of footage shot in sd). since hd footage shot in higher resolution 720x480 able zoom close 150 percent without seeing significant fuzziness in image. i'm zooming in 135 percent, i'm surprised see amount of blurriness i'm seeing. i've tried rendering footage , exporting footage , still same blurriness.
below still images exported footage
above still image original hd footage in 1080 hd sequence
this second image hd footage in 720x480 sequence @ 100% scale
this third image hd footage in 720x480 sequence @ 135% scale
as can see, third image looks blurry. when exporting fcp image @ least sharp second image when @ 135% or 150% scale.
is there better way edit hd footage in sd sequence in order not lose detail? should nest footage , drag nested hd sequence sd sequence? or there else going on i'm not aware of?
thanks help!

hi mike,
when drop hd clip sd sequence, seeing whole image in frame, or blown middle part? if enabling "auto scale frame size" in preferences, or manually on clip before scaling, issue. right-click on clip , make sure "scale frame" off, scale using motion effect suit needs. way, starting out hd pixels available, when scale up, picture should remain sharp viewing subset of larger hd image in sd "window".
looking @ sample images again, think case - being scaled down sd, blown again using scale, , loss coming from.
